New! Wingfoilen

Introductory course for wingfoiling

Wingfoiling New introductory course for wingfoiling Wingfoiling is the latest surf rage. A combination of kitesurfing and windsurfing, it can be learned well with some perseverance. With wingsurfing, you use an inflatable kite that you hold with your hands. The kite, also called a wing, is not attached to your board. You pump up the wing and hold it with a wrist leash. To start, you use a stand-up paddleboard or windsurf board to practice with the wing. Once you have this under control, you can switch to a foil board. This is a hydrofoil under a short board that literally lets you fly above the water. A super cool sensation! Suddenly, you have no water resistance anymore, allowing you to glide much faster and fly over the water.

Wingfoil lesson introduction course

What can I expect during my lesson?

• Lesson tailored to your experience • Handling of the equipment • Control of the wing without foil • Initial foil movements • Jibe technique After gaining enough experience during your wingfoil lesson and feeling completely ready to go out on the water independently, if you have windsurfing experience, it's possible to rent a wingfoil set after just one lesson to practice independently on the safe shallow waters of Bovenwiede.

How many lessons do I need?

This is very personal. You have an advantage if you already have experience with sailing or windsurfing. Then, it is possible to continue practicing independently on the safe shallow waters of Bovenwiede after just one lesson. If you have no experience, you may need extra lessons before you can go out on the water independently. The aim of the course is to provide you with enough basic knowledge to continue practicing independently. It's not as if you just sail away on the foil. There is still a lot of (independent) practice involved. You can also request a follow-up lesson for additional tips and tricks after several independent sessions.
